I am Dr. Kelly Blumenthal (she/her/hers), an educator and astronomer, currently based in Cambridge, MA. I earned a PhD in astrophysics in August 2019 from the Institute for Astronomy at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, and a master's degree in education policy and management from Harvard's Graduate School of Education. With the marriage of my quantitative PhD and equity-focused master's degrees, I aim to bridge the often wide divide between science and society. My goal, ultimately, is to build community through science.
On this website you will find information about my research (in astronomy and science communication) and educational resources for educators and community members, alike. If you have any questions or would simply like to reach out, please get in touch through the contact page. And please: take care of yourself in these deeply uncertain times.
